The University of Michigan- Student Chapter
Evelyn is a junior majoring in Organizational Studies with a focus in Corporate Social Responsibility and double minoring in Business and Community Action & Social Change. She identifies as a low-income and first-generation college student. She was proudly raised in Southwest Fresno, California and is passionate about providing opportunities to students with limited resources.
Aissa is a junior double majoring in Psychology and Spanish with a minor in cultural anthropology. She's a proud Latina from a suburb in Chicago and grew up in a single parent household. She wants to be able to help students through the college process by informing them of resources that can make the process easier and less stressful.
Karina Vallejo Vasquez
Chair of Marketing
Karina is a sophomore interested in majoring in Biology, Health, and Society with a minor in Computer Science. She is a first-generation/low-income student from the Grand Rapids area. Karina is a proud Latina and highly motivated on a personal level to create and share opportunities to those who come after her.
De La Rosa
Lisset is a first-generation Latina studying at the University of Michigan. She aspires to pursue a double major in Romance Languages and Literatures and in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She strives to provide resources and guidance for students and families with limited resources. She is passionate about helping them navigate the application course of post-secondary institutions and helping them achieve their goals.

Stephane is a junior majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, and minoring in Latinx/a/o Studies. She's a first-generation Chicana from the southwest of Chicago, IL. She's the oldest of three, and wants her brothers and other students to have equal access to educational opportunities and resources.

Esau is a junior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Education for Empowerment within the School of Education. He was raised in a low-income single-parent household. He is also a first-generation Mexican-American from the southwest side of Chicago. Esau believes that all students, no matter their background, deserve the resources to achieve post-secondary opportunities.
Amarna is a freshman within the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan pursuing a career as a Computer Engineering. As a young Afro-Haitian American woman from the South Side of Chicago, she has observed and experienced the struggles and traps people encounter everyday, and strives towards gaining the insight and skills to address pressing issues within her community. She believes that by expanding opportunities for disadvantaged communities and encouraging future POC leaders to pursue education opportunities, we get closer to a diversified world. She wants to help younger generations find the resources to experience a well-rounded education.

Edgar is a freshman at the University of Michigan trying to major in Electrical Engineering. I am a proud Latino from Albany Park in Chicago and grew up in a single parent household. He wants to break the socioeconomic barriers that are placed in American society, and hopes for a better tomorrow.

Rebecca is a junior double majoring in Economics and International studies. She was born and raised in a city in northern New Jersey, just outside New York City. She hopes to help students make informed decisions during the college process, with topic ranging from school of choice to loans.

Angela is a junior studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She proudly hails from Sturgis, MI. She's also a first-generation Latina who grew up in a low-income household with three sisters and a brother. She wants her community and others from underrepresented communities to know about opportunities that are available to them.
Parent Engagement Lead
Ximena is a junior at the University of Michigan majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Community Action and Social Change as well as Crime and Justice. She’s a proud immigrant from Mexico and she hopes to be able to help future Latine generations to access higher education.
