Family Scholarship
Foundation

The Betancourt-Macias Family Scholarship Foundation was founded to support the educational endeavors of undocumented people. Beyond financial support through scholarships, we also host community events to bring happiness and joy to our undocumented community during such times of distress. Our foundation also provides workshops for allies to learn how to support undocumented students. And lastly, we provide workshops for students as well as healing and reflection circles for our youth of color.

Mexican-American Dream Scholarship

"The purpose of this scholarship is to promote the importance of superior education among COFEM members and AB 540 students, usually called “dreamers”. Most of the scholarships given to date have been for “dreamers”, which are the perfect example of how important it is to get involved in the American society. With this in mind we invite those to the unique opportunity to sponsor such hardworking students through donations that will directly impact students' educational experience."

The Esperanza Education Fund

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on qualities traditionally valued and demonstrated by the immigrant community: hard work, resourcefulness, perseverance in the face of adversity, academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to one’s community. The Esperanza Education Fund will award scholarship for students to attend public colleges or universities or community colleges. The scholarships range from $5000 to $20,000, depending on financial need.
