Welcome to the
Connecting underrepresented high school students to college resources.
We aim to break language, cultural, and socio-economic barriers that prevent historically disadvantaged students from furthering their education after high school.
Why we exist.
Did you know that merely 7% of adults in Southwest Fresno, CA have a college degree? Unfortunately, these educational disparities are found all across the United States, not just in Fresno.
We are an organization ran by college students, for high school students, in an effort to increase post secondary enrollment in disadvantaged communities.
Who is a first-generation student?
Formal definition of a first-generation student is a student whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year college degree.
Some may identify as a first-generation student if their parents went to college in another country given they didn't have prior exposure or knowledge of navigating higher institutions in the United States.
